- Orders
Want to order:
- Go to the shop page.
- Create an account or log in and place your order. If something shows out of stock, send us a WhatsApp or add a Additional note at checkout.
- Place your order.
- Available delivery dates for your area will show at checkout.
- After you order, we send a quote to confirm your order before processing.
- Once packed and weighed, we send your final invoice with banking details and the correct payable amount.
- Delivery areas and Dates
At checkout the available delivery dates for your area will be displayed. Delivery days are usually every second Thursday.
We make use of a local family owned cold transport service to safely deliver all your products. Delivery fee is calculated at checkout
If we are not in your area, don’t chicken out, send us a message and we will do your best.
Our routine delivery areas are every Thursday from Cape Town Metropolitan and Surrounding areas.
Outside of these areas we would love to hear from you.

- DURBANVILLE CLIENTS:
We have a collection point available, so no delivery fee if you pick up from the following address:
Paint & Decor Rust-en-Vrede 10 Wellington road Durbanville. 0219760114. Please note we do not have freezer space available so orders are in coolboxes. Please try and collect asap
- Our products are variable weight, that means we can only send your invoice with banking details once we are done processing your order.
- Umami Groups
Don’t have Umami in your area? Or don’t want to pay the full courier fee? Form a group that we can deliver to one location, and split the courier fee.
- We advise people in complexes or estates, even neighbourhoods to try and form an Umami/Biedouw group,
- That means: each person orders their products, but in the check out box at notes, state that your order needs to be delivered to a different location.
- The group members will then collect from 1 person.
- Wholesaler
We accommodate deli’s, restaurants, shops and product developers. Please contact us if you would like to become part of the Umami family.
- In order to receive wholesalers price, you need to have a business from where Umami is being sold or used in a restaurant.
- When creating an account, choose wholesaler.
- Please note we have a min order of R4000 for wholesalers.
